Start with a summary

Four lines is usually enough to establish whether this programme suits you: your current nationality or nationalities, the countries you have lived in during the past ten years, who else would be applying, and what you want the second document to do. Everything else follows from those.

Passport scans, bank statements, tax records and anything concerning a criminal matter should not go into a web form or an ordinary email. That material is needed later — the Financial Intelligence Unit requires much of it — and it should move over a secure channel once an engagement is in place.

What you will get back

An assessment rather than a brochure: whether the programme fits what you described, the government figures for your family composition, which documents are likely to set your timetable, and where we expect the file to attract questions. If Vanuatu is the wrong answer for you, that is what the reply will say.

For readers in Australia

Two questions come up constantly and neither is answered here. Whether acquiring another nationality affects your Australian citizenship is a matter for the Department of Home Affairs and an Australian lawyer. Whether anything changes for your tax is a matter for the ATO and an Australian accountant. We will tell you plainly when a question belongs to them rather than to us.

What we will not do

Guarantee approval, name a decision date, or propose a way around due diligence. An enquiry asking for any of those will get an explanation instead of a proposal.

Timing

Messages are read on working days and usually answered within one. Anything sent over a weekend or a public holiday waits for the next working day. If several days pass in silence, assume the message did not arrive and try another route rather than assuming an answer.
